What Customers Say About Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare:

Yes, this game is definately worth $14 (including shipping) that i paid for it. i would not pay 50 or even 30 bucks for this game. graphics are great and overall it's fun to play this game, but i am not an online player. i prefer old-fashioned gaming (that's why i'm not going to buy MAG - although it looks like THAT game would 've impressed me more)

This is like the earlier SOCOMs but gives you more fire fights. I purchased this used this year. I never get anything new so this is obviously moot.Great introduction to modern war and weaponry use. Logical controls for PS3, good graphics, but no rumble effect that was the trademark of PS3. The story line is confusing but doesn't matter because the missions can stand alone. No regrets.

Do not buy this game. The single player mode is short enough that you could play through it twice in one rental term. The on-line multiplayer is incredibly fun and addictive, and is the only thing that would make this game worth owning. If it worked consistently. There is a bug which randomly keeps you from getting on-line.Google "downloading game settings" and you'll see how wide-spread this glitch is (you don't even need to include the name of the game in the search, just that phrase will do). There are several proposed fixes, none of the ones I'm willing to try work often enough to be considered more than coincidence.I'm not willing to try solutions which involve changing the settings on my router; EVERYTHING else, EXCEPT this one game, works perfectly - I'm not going to risk screwing up everything else just to get this one game working.I can't tell you how frustrating it is to buy a game, get completely hooked on playing it on-line, only to be denied access at completely random (but frequent) times. If you are considering buying this game, do yourself a favor - rent it first, and test out the on-line multiplayer to see if it works consistently with your set up.Apparently this glitch does not affect everyone, and may in fact have something to do with router/modem set-up. But, I should not have to mess with those settings when this game is the only thing that has a problem - even COD5 World at War works flawlessly (unfortunately, this one is more fun to play on-line, when it works). So, yeah - caveat emptor - buyer beware.

The game I purchesed was great just as described will do business with seller again

The online has kept me involved in the game even if the campaign did not. There are no cut scenes which hurt the overall feel of the campaign. It was short, and while it looked great the story was a little less than I wanted. Presentation- The game looks pretty good.

The nuke sequence was a pretty good idea though. Even though I normally don't like online it did keep me addicted for a while. I hope Modern Warfare 2 doesn't continue the story of this game because I can't even remember it. It has great photo realistic graphics that impress at every turn. The menus are average; the music is uplifting and epic. Overall a good game, but I have no intention to beat the campaign again.

It does have one of the most memorable online experiences. I was a little disappointed in the campaign though. I wish they would add a cover system, other than that no complaints. I had heard a lot of great things about this title, and I loved the other Call of Duty games. 5/5Story- The story was not that in depth, and the lack of cut scenes made it hard to get the whole story.

The sequel does look pretty epic. 4.5/5The Verdict: This game I believe is a little over hyped. They look amazing for a FPS. I was very excited about this game. 4/5Game play- A well developed shooter, and there are few things to gripe about. The game play is smooth. I wish the campaign was longer though.

4.5/5Lasting Appeal- This game does have surprising lasting appeal. It was a decent shooter with amazing graphics and interesting online modes, but the campaign suffered. The graphics look amazing, and the game play has some great FPS mechanics. Still I recommend you pick this up before Modern Warfare 2 comes out. 4/5Graphics- The graphics are the high spot of this game. The sniper level looks amazing. I hope in the sequel that there is a decent campaign to keep me hooked as well.

4.4/5
